About The Position

This is a career-defining role for a Medical Director specializing in Addiction Medicine at CODA's Beaverton Recovery Center (BRC). The position involves overseeing a seamless continuum of care, including Sobering, Withdrawal Management, and Residential treatment, all within one facility. The Beaverton Recovery Center is an exceptional facility where the Sobering Center, Withdrawal Management unit, and Residential program work together as a coordinated system of care, and the Medical Director will be the physician leader ensuring its optimal performance.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed in Oregon
  • Current, unrestricted DEA license
  • Board Certification in Addiction Medicine or equivalent advanced certification
  • 2+ years in community health, primary care, urgent care, or behavioral health settings
  • Experience with co-occurring disorders and high-acuity populations
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership — you've led teams and made them better

Nice To Haves

  • Deep knowledge of addiction medicine and pharmacology; methadone experience is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Medical oversight across Sobering, Withdrawal Management, and Residential services.
  • Training, development, and clinical support for WDM and Residential provider staff.
  • Implementation and tracking of medical performance metrics and quality indicators.
  • Regulatory compliance across all programs, including controlled substance regulations.
  • Collaboration with the Sobering/WDM Nurse Manager and Senior Medical Director on care coordination and strategy.
  • Development and continuous improvement of policies, protocols, and evidence-based care standards.
  • Direct patient care and consultation on complex, high-acuity cases.
