Medical Device Driver - 2nd Shift - $22.10/hr + $1/hr shift premium
About The Position
As a Medical Device Driver, you will be responsible for the distribution and delivery of products/services for our representatives and customers. This role involves preparing, shipping, receiving, and scheduling deliveries, ensuring timely delivery of sets and pickup/return of loaner sets. You will also field customer questions and direct them to the appropriate branch personnel. The role requires arranging merchandise for transport and at customer locations, reading maps, performing safety inspections, and loading/unloading materials. You will create/review delivery and pick-up lists, record transactions, provide customer service, handle customer complaints, and perform minor maintenance on the company delivery vehicle. Accurate inventory tracking, record keeping, and cycle counting are also key responsibilities.
Requirements
- Possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours, as needed to support the business needs, including evenings as needed
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year driver/ courier experience in a customer-facing, medical environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare, ship, receive and schedule delivery of products
- Ensure timely delivery of sets and pick up/return loaner sets
- Field customer questions and direct to appropriate branch personnel
- Arrange merchandise for transport (on delivery and return) and at customer locations
- Read maps, and route configuration
- Perform safety inspections in transportation setting
- Load, unload, or stack containers, materials, or products
- Create and/or review lists of delivery and pick-ups
- Record transactions and issues on customer receipts
- Provide customer service in surface transportation
- Field customer complaints, address and communicate as necessary to Branch team members
- Performs and/or schedules preventative and regular minor maintenance on company delivery vehicle, (fuel, fluid levels, tires, etc.), and keeps accurate maintenance records
- Advises supervisor when repairs or extensive maintenance are required for the company vehicle
- Responsible for accurate inventory tracking and record keeping, warehouse inventory cycle counting and optimizing inventory utilization
- Record sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record
