About The Position

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a Clinical Engineering Cybersecurity Specialist to support medical device cybersecurity within a healthcare environment. This role will lead cybersecurity assessments, vulnerability remediation, medical device security controls, and collaboration with Clinical Engineering, IT, Information Security, and medical device manufacturers. The ideal candidate has hands-on biomedical/medical device experience and healthcare cybersecurity experience, with strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and healthcare regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Biomedical/biomedical engineering experience or equivalent experience working with medical devices.
  • Healthcare cybersecurity experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant functional experience.
  • Knowledge of CMMS platforms and medical device asset management.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO.
  • Knowledge of FDA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Strong technical, analytical, communication, and project leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead collection of medical device cybersecurity data and manufacturer documentation in CMMS systems.
  • Perform cybersecurity risk assessments for medical devices and identify security gaps.
  • Oversee medical device configuration, cybersecurity controls, patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Coordinate responses to emerging and zero-day cybersecurity threats affecting medical devices.
  • Work with device manufacturers, hospital IT, and Information Security teams on cybersecurity activities.
  • Support network segmentation testing and validation for medical devices.
  • Investigate cybersecurity alerts and high-risk vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate responses.
  • Track and report vulnerability remediation activities and cybersecurity performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate cybersecurity documentation and asset information in CMMS.
  • Support cybersecurity training and coach Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs) on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Support HIPAA, Joint Commission, FDA, and other healthcare cybersecurity audits.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen cybersecurity practices across Clinical Engineering and IT.
