About The Position

MedSpeed is a healthcare logistics company that partners with organizations nationwide to transport medical supplies and specimens. The Medical Driver (also called a Logistics Service Representative) safely transports lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials in a company-owned vehicle. The role uses a handheld scanning device to track items, follows operating procedures and service schedules, and represents MedSpeed professionally to clients and the public. Drivers load and unload vehicles, conduct vehicle inspections, keep vehicles orderly, and adapt to changing routes and business needs while working collaboratively with teammates and clients. This full-time position is based in San Diego, California, and follows a fixed Monday–Friday schedule from 2:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. The listed pay range is $20.00–$21.40 per hour. Requirements

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Be at least 19 years of age and have held an active driver’s license for 3 years.
Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
Excellent driving history.

Responsibilities

Safely drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
Use a handheld scanning device to accurately track items throughout the transportation cycle.
Follow operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interactions.
Load and unload company vehicles using appropriate equipment.
Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.
Perform duties across assigned routes and adapt to route changes based on client and business needs.
Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
Help build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
