About The Position

Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Tacoma, WA. This part-time position involves long-distance driving within the state of Washington, operating a company-owned vehicle to transport vital medical supplies and specimens. Requirements

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Must have an excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to lift items off storage racks.
• Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time.
• Must complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials in a company-owned vehicle.
• Operating a hand-held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Observing operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Presenting a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Loading and unloading company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrating safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conducting pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.
• Performing duties across all assigned routes, which may change.
• Demonstrating teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Building and nurturing a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
