About The Position

Patient's Choice Laboratories is seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Tempe, Arizona. In this role, you will serve as the critical face (and voice) of our company-supporting patients, healthcare providers, and clinical staff daily. Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience (call center experience is a major plus).
  • At least 1 year of experience using medical terminology.
  • Strong computer proficiency with the ability to type at least 40 WPM while actively speaking with a caller.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to learn complex medical/laboratory information quickly.
  • A professional, empathetic, and resilient approach to problem-solving in a high-volume environment.
  • Candidates must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to their start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous laboratory, healthcare, or medical office experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for incoming patient and provider inquiries, managing a high volume of inbound calls (averaging 100–170 calls/day).
  • Assist callers with laboratory-related questions, order statuses, specimen requirements, and general account support.
  • Navigate multiple software platforms and databases simultaneously to research and resolve customer concerns.
  • Accurately document all interactions and maintain detailed records within company systems.
  • Communicate effectively across internal departments and elevate complex issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations (HIPAA) and company policies.
