About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Courier in Wallingford, Connecticut. The role supports patient care by transporting diagnostic specimens and laboratory materials safely and on time along a scheduled route. The courier works independently, represents the company when interacting with healthcare professionals, and uses company-provided transportation and mobile tools to track deliveries. The listed schedule is Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The pay range is $18.64–$20.84 per hour; offers depend on factors such as relevant skills, training, experience, education, and applicable certifications. Eligible candidates may also receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Provide a Motor Vehicle Record showing no more than two moving violation convictions in the previous 36 months, with none in the most recent 12 months.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the road.
• Comfort using mobile devices or scanning tools.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on the move for much of the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and laboratory materials on a scheduled route.
• Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and laboratory staff to support timely deliveries.
• Safely operate a company-provided, non-CDL vehicle.
• Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Comply with DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
