About The Position

Rapid Medical is a tech-forward logistics partner for labs, clinics, and health systems. This role involves a specific route from Denver to Statesville, covering 100 miles. The position is for an independent contractor (1099) and requires a personal vehicle, smartphone, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. The courier will use a driver app for navigation, scheduling, and proof of delivery, and must handle specimens carefully, maintaining required temperatures. Real-time dispatch support is provided.

Requirements

• Personal vehicle (2016+ preferred).
• Valid driver's license.
• Active vehicle insurance.
• Satisfactory driving record (MVR).
• Smartphone (iOS 13+/Android 11+) with reliable data.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Satisfactory MVR review.

Nice To Haves

• Delivery, rideshare, or courier experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Run stops using the driver app, which includes navigation, scheduling, and real-time support.
• Photograph pickups/deliveries and log proof of delivery through the app.
• Handle specimens carefully and maintain proper temperature (room, refrigerated, or frozen as required).
• Contact dispatch immediately if any issues arise with specimens (e.g., damage, improper packaging).
• Operate within a 100-mile route from Denver, NC to Statesville, NC.
