The general pay scale for this position at MOH is $24.78- $38.13 per hour. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc. SCOPE: Under general supervision, provides administrative and staff support services for the department. Handles administrative tasks for projects, programs or processes specific to the operating unit served. Assists in ensuring the services are marketed in accordance with budgeted objectives to achieve maximum profitability and volume in relation to pre-set marketing standards. Keeps records, statistics and files according to standardized procedures and requirements. May be the contact person for information on administrative processes. Provides assistance to multi-specialty physicians and practice management who travel to multiple sites. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five years of office administration experience in a medical environment.

  • Associate's degree in business, office administration etc preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support for special projects to include research, marketing, compiling data and preparing summary reports. Acts as a liaison with staff, physicians, executive management, public relations firms, media and off-site executives/administrators.
  • Maintains current physician licensure files and provides information to hospitals and other healthcare providers as appropriate. Performs a variety of administrative duties including making travel arrangements, memos, reports, filing and other correspondence.
  • Coordinates physician monthly on-call schedules and communicates effectively with nursing staff, office staff and outside answering service. Answers telephones, takes accurate messages, and screens and directs calls in a professional manner. Provides assistance to multi-specialty physicians and management who travel to multiple sites. Provides call schedule support for multi-specialty physicians at multiple sites.
  • Composes, prepares, and proofreads correspondence, office memos, and reports on the computer; maintaining confidentiality when required. Designs and implements forms for use within the office by applying knowledge of software applications.
  • Designs presentation materials for meetings, conferences and manuscripts for physicians and management. Processes extensive and accurate medical transcriptions to include consultations and all notes pertinent to patient treatment as dictated by physicians. Types reports, manuscripts quality assurance records as necessary. Prepares materials needed by department relative to processes or programs.
  • Assists in development of marketing tools and databases for physician referral information and other marketing functions. Documents referral activity and referring physician issues. Assists in the development and preparation of short-term and long-term market research, marketing plans, and product line development.
  • Assists in developing physician communication and public relations programs throughout practice. Responsible for building referral relationships within the area directed.
