About The Position

In this director role, you will lead the strategy and delivery of Medical Information and communications for GU/GYN indications, steering a talented team to create, curate, and distribute scientifically rigorous content through the right channels. Your work will connect cutting-edge data to the real-world decisions clinicians make, while reinforcing the integrity, accuracy, and impact of our scientific narrative. You will partner closely with medical, clinical, regulatory, and commercial leaders to deliver a robust pipeline of work with new efficiencies—improving prioritization, capacity, and quality. Your leadership will ensure the right evidence reaches the right audience at the right time, accelerating meaningful outcomes for patients.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Pharmacy (PharmD, Phd, MD), Pharmacology, science, or equivalent clinical experience
  • 3 years leadership/management of Medical Information Teams/projects
  • at least 2-5 years of experience working with Commercial or Brand Teams in a pharmaceutical company
  • Ability to apply Global and US legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements as it applies to Medical Affairs
  • Demonstrated expertise in drug information communication and management
  • Demonstrated expertise in the review of promotional materials
  • Experience with delivering MI services at a global and local level
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, with a customer focus
  • Ability to translate scientific data to various audiences
  • Ability to apply Global and US, legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements to Medical Affairs activities and drug information delivery
  • Demonstration of strategic thinking and proactivity
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, teams and resources (suppliers and budgets)
  • Strong leadership, time management and organisation skills

Responsibilities

  • Implement the strategic course for medical information and communication at the indication and asset level for GU/GYN, aligned to the overarching scientific narrative and patient pathway.
  • Lead Medical Communications & Information Associate Directors and Managers, including OSP counterparts. Set goals and priorities, serve as the liaison to senior leadership, coordinate onboarding, and drive team development in collaboration with Training and Transformation leadership.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of MI deliverables aligned to a clear prioritization framework, including promotional review and scientific messaging consultation (US only), responding to medical information requests (US only), addressing complex inquiry escalations from local markets, and developing Medical Affairs content (Global and US).
  • Partner with GMALs to develop and implement content strategy for GU/GYN indications. Leverage content from partner functions and disseminate through the right channels to physicians and patients. Ensure quality, accuracy, and integrity across GMI LTO activities, content delivery, and US Medical Legal Review.
  • Work closely with medical affairs, clinical development, regulatory affairs, brand teams, and other functions (including MSLE, OMT, ODI, Managed Markets, HEOR, Patient Safety, Call Center, and Sales Training) to ensure accurate and timely communication of medical information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Apply Global and US legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements to Medical Affairs activities. Maintain clear SOPs and guidelines to support GMC&I activities and lead compliant review and approval processes for promotional and educational materials.
  • Make autonomous decisions on budget and resourcing for GU/GYN within a supported governance model. Manage suppliers and OSPs to deliver on-time, high-quality outputs.
  • Collaborate with MI Insights & Analytics to optimize reporting and tailor communications. Integrate stakeholder feedback with the Customer Experience Manager. Stay abreast of evolving clinical data and treatment guidelines to drive proactive content updates and smarter ways of working.
  • Lead the GU/GYN team to understand how the portfolio maps to the entire patient pathway, including competitor landscape and indication evolution, to inform messaging, prioritization, and strategic planning.
  • Deliver the existing pipeline of work while introducing new efficiencies to boost productivity, prioritization, and capacity across the team.
