About The Position

Responsible for application of CPT and ICD-10 codes to all procedures performed for a given date of service for The Toledo Clinic, as well as tracking of patients seen and working all eCW claims for denials, errors. This role involves demographic registration/updates for all patients, entering charges into claim entry in eCW, and monitoring/correcting all claim activity. The Medical Coder will also create workflow processes to ensure accuracy and accountability. Additional duties may include assisting patients and/or insurance companies with billing and authorization questions, and coordinating with providers to ensure all visits are accounted for using various schedules and sheets.

Requirements

• Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes and manuals required.
• CPC or CCS-P or able to pass Toledo Clinic’s comprehensive coding test.
• HS diploma or GED required.
