About The Position

Instructors deliver educational materials using sound educational practices focused on students’ academic development. They use the educational experience to develop knowledge and skills in each student’s chosen field and help students achieve their educational and career goals. Instructors create an engaging, dynamic, student-centered learning environment and provide support, tutoring, and other assistance as needed. They model professional behavior and ethical conduct in alignment with the Ancora Education Mission and Core Values.

Requirements

• Hold active certification or licensure where required.
• Have at least 3 years of industry experience within the last 10 years.
• Before beginning to teach, have documented prior teaching experience or complete the new instructor training.
• Qualify as an instructor under institutional and accreditation standards.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching in a proprietary education setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry.

Responsibilities

• Use classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide students with an engaged educational experience.
• Ensure students are presented with the material needed to meet the learning objectives of each course in their program of study.
• Ensure instructional materials and equipment are ready, sufficient in quantity, properly maintained, and in working order.
• Participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development; maintain required certification and licensure.
• Participate in meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines, as well as company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
