About The Position

St. Paul Medical Clinic is seeking a mission-driven, strategic leader to coordinate all aspects of the clinic in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The Coordinator oversees the administrative, financial, and operational functions of the clinic in Honduras. The Coordinator is a paid, part-time member of the St. Paul Church staff in Damascus, MD. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors, donors, partnering parishes, and the medical staff on the ground, ensuring the sustainable delivery of healthcare to the underserved communities we serve.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in non-profit management, international development, or healthcare administration
  • Strong ability to manage cross-functional teams and work effectively with a volunteer board
  • Exceptional interpersonal and public speaking skills for fundraising and advocacy
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Honduras at least twice a year

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of the Spanish language is highly recommended, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish long-term goals and operational strategies
  • Collaborate with partnering Catholic parishes in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington
  • Prepare regular reports on clinic performance, financial status, and mission impact
  • Lead comprehensive fundraising initiatives, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and annual appeals
  • Identify and develop new partnerships and "job development" opportunities to expand the clinic’s reach and sustainability
  • Coordinate budgeting and expenditure for both U.S. and Honduras operations
  • Ensure fiscal transparency and compliance with non-profit standards
  • Coordinate the procurement and international shipping of essential medicines and medical supplies
  • Maintain inventory standards to ensure the clinic is consistently equipped to serve patients
  • Plan, lead, and manage two mission trips per year to Tegucigalpa, Honduras (Winter and Summer)
  • Oversee volunteer recruitment, logistics, and on-site coordination to ensure safe and effective service delivery
