Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience (call center experience is a major plus).
- At least 1 year of experience using medical terminology.
- Strong computer proficiency with the ability to type at least 40 WPM while actively speaking with a caller.
- Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to learn complex medical/laboratory information quickly.
- A professional, empathetic, and resilient approach to problem-solving in a high-volume environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous laboratory, healthcare, or medical office experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for incoming patient and provider inquiries, managing a high volume of inbound calls (averaging 100–170 calls/day).
- Assist callers with laboratory-related questions, order statuses, specimen requirements, and general account support.
- Navigate multiple software platforms and databases simultaneously to research and resolve customer concerns.
- Accurately document all interactions and maintain detailed records within company systems.
- Communicate effectively across internal departments and elevate complex issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations (HIPAA) and company policies.
