About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Claims Associate to support a large-scale healthcare modernization initiative focused on claims cleanup, data verification, and federal compliance readiness. This role plays a key part in improving claims accuracy, data integrity, and operational effectiveness within a Medicaid-aligned environment, particularly supporting rural health initiatives and long-term system improvements. This position is ideal for individuals with strong data entry and document processing experience who are comfortable working with structured healthcare data and established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Experience working with documentation systems
  • Knowledge of indexing and processing structured data
  • Ability to follow and apply verification standards and formats
  • General administrative support experience
  • Comfortable working in policy-driven, compliance-focused environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with medical claims forms, including CMS‑1500 and UB‑04 preferred
  • Prior experience in claims processing or healthcare administrative support
  • Experience with data management or records management systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-volume data entry with a high degree of accuracy
  • Review, process, and verify claims-related records and documentation
  • Utilize multiple systems for claims processing and verification, including: Mainframe systems, Datacap, Provider Enrollment and File Management platforms
  • Verify claim data against multiple sources using both manual review and technology-assisted validation
  • Index and categorize claims according to established standards
  • Apply defined policies and procedures related to data entry, processing, review, and verification
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with expectations
  • Track work completion against established deadlines and productivity standards
  • Support provider or stakeholder outreach as required
  • Complete additional administrative and data processing tasks as assigned
