About The Position

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to assist individuals applying for medical coverage using the Maryland Health Connection. Services provided include, but are not limited to health promotion, program education and management, assistance with the application process, coordination of scheduling appointments, assistance in providing a holistic approach to the management of health care for individuals and their families as well as to provide information and referrals to the appropriate agencies. In addition, this position will provide HealthChoice outreach and education, assistance with accessing care, and Managed Care Organization (MCO) navigation. The selected applicant must be willing and able to travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites and may be required to work some evening and/or weekend hours.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Two years of clerical experience applying policies in a medical care, health insurance or federal or State entitlement program.
