About The Position

Downriver Medical Associates is a busy internal medicine practice with multiple practitioners looking for our newest team member! We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work the Medical Call Center. This is a fulltime onsite position, Monday through Friday (no weekends). Responsible for operating the Call Center and providing prompt and responsive communication between the practice and their patients, in a professional and courteous manner. Assist callers with inquiries, complaints, or problems. Speak with patients, listen to them to gain a better understanding of their needs, and offer possible solutions. Registers patients, verifies insurance, and redirect patients when needed. Assess needs based on previous chart notes and direct calls or questions to pertinent staff.

Requirements

Proficient in computer skills
Medical office experience: 1 year
Previous medical office experience required
High school or equivalent (Required)

Nice To Haves

Medical assistant: 1 year
EPIC EHR experience is a plus
Medical assistant certification/experience
Patient-oriented
Team player with a positive attitude
