About The Position
Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Medical Billing Specialist position in our Patient Financial Services department. The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for the insurance billing process for the hospital and clinics. Qualified candidates need to demonstrate the ability to work closely and effectively with all hospital departments, clinics, insurance companies, federal agencies and third party payers to ensure accurate and timely billing of all claims.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel and other office equipment required.
- Basic computer skills, data entry.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Ability to communicate with other departments, including clinics.
Nice To Haves
- Previous medical billing experience preferred.
- For remote option: 1 year Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Healthcare Clinic billing experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the insurance billing process for the hospital and clinics.
- Work closely and effectively with all hospital departments, clinics, insurance companies, federal agencies and third party payers to ensure accurate and timely billing of all claims.
- Ensure the most effective Revenue Cycle process.
