About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Medical Billing Specialist for a hybrid role in Grand Rapids, MI. This position is responsible for entering professional charges into the appropriate billing system and providing charge entry support for Health Medical Group/Health Hospital Group (Professional). The role involves identifying and correcting registration problems before charges are updated, accurately entering all charges, and posting them to the appropriate account. The specialist will also verify and maintain processes for timely encounter form turnaround, identify trends in encounter form errors, and communicate these to the relevant offices. Additionally, they will review charge summaries and make necessary corrections to charge entry errors.

Responsibilities

• Provides charge entry support for Health Medical Group/ Health Hospital Group (Professional).
• Identifies and corrects problems with registration prior to charges being updated for the day.
• Accurately enters all charges into the system and posts to the appropriate account.
• Verifies and maintains processes that result in appropriate turnaround time of encounter forms.
• Identifies trends in encounter form errors and communicates to appropriate offices.
• Reviews charge summaries from the Health Medical Group/l Health Hospital Group (Professional) practices.
• Make appropriate changes in charge entry to correct any charge entry errors.
