About The Position

The Medical Billing Specialist operates data entry devices to perform a variety of data entry and verification duties, as well as some production tracking and reporting duties. Detects and corrects errors. Uses word processing, spreadsheet, database, web portals or other software on a computer. Can also use basic office equipment and has the ability to follow instructions. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable learning and using company-approved AI and automation tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and workflow organization.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/ G.E.D.
• Minimum 3+ Years of experience in data entry.
• Maintain strong skills in diplomacy, professionalism and trustworthiness.
• Strong communications skills in both oral and written.
• Knowledge of EPower and Centricity desired.
• Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
• The ability to learn new computer systems applications.
• Medical billing and/or insurance background including Medicare, Medicaid, other government payors, third party payors, and commercial insurance.
• Familiarity with AI-powered productivity, automation, or data-quality tools preferred.
• Type 45-60 WPM.

Responsibilities

• Performs data entry and report edits as required with speed and accuracy.
• Tracks production and trends and reports issues to leadership
• Assists with database management functions
• Maintains daily production goals as it pertains to charge entry
• Utilize company-approved AI and automation tools to assist with document processing, data quality, error detection, and workflow efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department manager.
