About The Position

Valley Medical Group is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join their dynamic team. This provider-owned, multi-specialty group serves a diverse community across four locations. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, multitask, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced billing office environment. Previous medical collections experience and general insurance billing practice knowledge are preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years medical billing/coding within a Medical Practice
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent accuracy and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) a plus
• Athena experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurate entry and processing of assigned charge entry within the Practice Management System.
• Efficient and accurate management of Follow-up/Denial Claims.
• Appropriate and accurate management of patient requests.
• Cash receipts posting.
• Patient correspondence.
