About The Position
Encompass Medical Group is a primary care provider group dedicated to the highest standards of healthcare excellence across its five offices in the Kansas City metro area. They are seeking a full-time Medical Billing Customer Service Representative to join their central Billing Department at their Lenexa administrative office. This role is responsible for collecting and receiving patient medical bills by utilizing strong customer service skills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience of medical billing/insurance customer service required
- Experience working in a professional office setting
- Excellent typing skills
- Strong customer service background required
- Excellent communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Medical billing experience or completion of medical billing coursework preferred
- 10-key experience preferred
- Medical background preferred
- Prior professional working environment experience preferred
- Able to work well in a team setting
- Prior EMR experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Delivers uncompromising customer service to patients regarding their patient account and medical billing inquiries and/or issues
- Re-works claims that have been returned for additional information
- Handles all incoming patient and insurance inquiries
