About The Position
Encompass Medical Group is a primary care provider group dedicated to the highest standards of healthcare excellence across five offices in the Kansas City metro area. We are seeking a full-time Medical Billing Customer Service Representative to join our central Billing Department at our Lenexa administrative office. This role is crucial for collecting and receiving patient medical bills by utilizing strong customer service skills. We are offering a $500 sign-on bonus upon completion of the probationary period and another $500 completion bonus after one full year of service.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience of medical billing/insurance customer service required
- Excellent typing skills
- Strong customer service background required
- Prior professional working environment experience preferred
- Able to work well in a team setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Drug screen and background check required
Nice To Haves
- Medical billing experience or completion of medical billing coursework preferred
- Previous general medical billing and insurance posting experience preferred
- Experience working in a professional office setting
- 10-key experience preferred
- Medical background preferred
- Prior EMR experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Delivers uncompromising customer service to patients regarding their patient account and medical billing inquiries and/or issues
- Re-works claims that have been returned for additional information
- Handles all incoming patient and insurance inquiries
