Medical Billing & Coding Instructor
About The Position
Asher College is seeking a full-time Medical Billing and Coding Instructor for its Las Vegas, NV campus. This onsite position involves flexible weekday hours, including some evenings and Saturdays. The role operates in a blended learning environment, requiring instructors to provide one-on-one student assistance, deliver lectures, and lead classes. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience and knowledge in medical billing and coding, along with relevant professional certifications. Creative problem-solving and solid communication skills are essential. While prior teaching experience is not required, it is considered a plus.
Requirements
- 3 years’ experience in Medical Coding and Billing
- Industry certification; Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Required
- Strong Work ethic
- Passion to help others to succeed
- Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently to individuals and groups
- Technology skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other business software
- Commitment to the success of the students and company
Nice To Haves
- Teaching or training experience
- Industry certification; Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) Prefered
