About The Position
Prime Healthcare is seeking a Medical Biller to join their team in Dallas, TX. This full-time position involves reviewing patient charts, coding insurance information, submitting claims, following up on unpaid claims, preparing patient bills, and communicating with insurance companies and hospital departments to resolve billing issues.
Requirements
- Knowledge of multiple insurance billing requirements
- 1-2 years of billing experience
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and Revenue Code structures
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required
Responsibilities
- Review patient charts and code insurance information for accurate insurance billing
- Submit insurance claims and ensure timely reimbursement
- Follow up on insurance denials or unpaid insurance claims and correct errors or insurance codes
- Prepare and send patient bills for remaining balances
- Communicate with insurance companies and hospital departments to resolve billing issues
