About The Position

This detail-oriented data entry position supports medical bill review operations. The primary responsibility is accurate input and maintenance of provider demographics, contract information, and medical bill details in company systems. The role involves coding provider bills, entering pre-coded billing data, and verifying output. It is intended as an entry-level opportunity with training, an assigned mentor and manager, and opportunities for career development and promotion. Work may be performed in an office and/or virtual setting.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
One year of general office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Strong attention to detail and keyboarding accuracy.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Clear and conceptual thinking ability, with excellent judgment and discretion.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

Key pre-coded billing data into the system.
Identify and forward complex bills to claims examiners.
Code provider bills in accordance with claims management system notes and state guidelines.
Follow workers compensation and auto guidelines to evaluate services.
Compare service provider qualifications with the services provided.
Assist with system and file maintenance and interface with the IT department.
Assist with account batching and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.
Answer customer service calls from providers, clients, and claims examiners.
Maintain accurate provider demographics, contract information, and medical bill details.
Verify system output.
