As a Medical Asst-Cert, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patient care by assisting with examinations and treatments under the direction of physicians or advanced practice providers. Requirements
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
- Medical Assistant certification obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date (any issuing authority accepted).
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with treatments ordered by providers under supervision.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones and maintaining records.
- Order and stock supplies, ensuring a clean and orderly environment.
- Document provider encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
