Performs a variety of technical diagnostic and patient care procedures under the direction of a clinical professional.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

• Graduate of an approved program in practice technical specialty, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs practice specific technical procedures based on specialty area.
• Performs technical procedures under the supervision of a clinical professional, as required.
• May prepare patient for examination, including explaining procedures in easy-to-understand terms, and setting up equipment or exam rooms.
• Monitors patient condition, directly observes patients during procedures, and promptly reports changes in patient condition or complaints to the physician.
• May maintain medical records by logging and documenting procedures, tests, exercises, and examinations performed.
• May maintain supply inventory for assigned area, including checking purchase order requisitions, reviewing stock levels, and receiving and stocking supplies.
• Performs related duties, as required.
