About The Position

AllState Career School in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Assistant to teach in its Medical Assisting Program. This is a full-time professional faculty position reporting directly to the Program Director. The typical teaching load is three courses per term, with two or three course preparations. The role also includes academic advising and supporting the Program Director, as well as participating in department training, meetings, and graduation.

Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or diploma.
• Certification as a CCMA, RMA, and/or CMA; an LPN or RN credential is an acceptable alternative for an MA Instructor.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• At least three years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a patient-facing clinical setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree; preferred but not required.
• Prior higher education or postsecondary teaching experience; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Medical Assisting courses.
