About The Position

NurSelect is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Medical Assistant for a full-time opportunity with a well-established outpatient specialty practice in Central Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment with direct patient interaction, procedural support, and strong collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience required
Experience with EMR systems required
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred
Minimum 6 months of physician office experience preferred
Specialty clinic or urology experience strongly preferred
Phlebotomy
EKGs
Surgical or procedural support
Specialty physician practices
Urology or outpatient clinic experience
Medical scribing
Veradigm EMR experience

Responsibilities

Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Obtain and document vital signs, patient history, and chief complaints
Assist physicians during exams and office procedures
Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and basic laboratory testing
Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians
Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and assist with first aid procedures
Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care
Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems
Coordinate appointments, patient flow, and room turnover
Assist with surgical/procedural room setup
Support prescription management and patient record requests
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and healthcare regulations
