About The Position

MaxHealth in Ft Myers is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. This Medical Assistant position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is compassionate, service-oriented, and can multitask with ease. The role involves greeting patients warmly, triaging them upon arrival, preparing examination and procedure rooms, obtaining histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. Administrative tasks include scheduling appointments and procedures, and managing documents like pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. The Medical Assistant will also assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments while maintaining a calming presence for patients.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as an MA
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Computer literacy (experience using EMR/EHR)
• Computer proficient
• Bilingual in Spanish/English
