Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous M.D. office experience or clinical work.
Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.
Maintain current BLS certification.
Maturity, empathy, and patience.
Be special – Not everyone can do what we do.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols.
Maintain an active Drivers License - for occasional travel to our sister site location in Murfreesboro, TN

Responsibilities

Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
Assist in maintaining general medical records.
Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.
Obtain, verify, and record health information.
