About The Position
Logan Health Heart & Vascular is seeking a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant to join their patient-focused team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful patient interactions, values collaboration, and is interested in supporting a specialized area of healthcare. The Medical Assistant will work closely with providers and other members of the care team while helping create a welcoming, organized, and supportive experience for patients. The clinic provides specialized care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular and vascular conditions.
Requirements
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant credential
- Skilled in EKGs, vitals, specimen collection, and EMR documentation with great attention to detail.
- Values collaboration and clear communication with the entire care team.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification
- Experience in cardiology or other high-paced specialty settings.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, collect vitals, review medical histories, and prepare them for exams.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures including EKGs, pulmonary tests, and cardiac imaging.
- Perform point-of-care testing, administer medications as directed, and process lab specimens.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and support the care team in creating an exceptional patient experience.
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and rehab professionals to help patients return to living life to the fullest.
