Medical Assistant (MA) - Primary Care OB - Vernon Hills
About The Position
The Medical Assistant (MA) - Primary Care OB position is a full-time role located in Vernon Hills, IL. The role involves greeting patients, escorting them to exam rooms, documenting vital signs, allergies, medications, and the reason for their office visit. The Medical Assistant will also provide front office support as needed, perform basic vitals like BP, height, and weight, and may be required to perform phlebotomy and injections. The hourly pay rate ranges from $19.89 to $28.84, determined by factors such as candidate expertise and years of experience. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7 am – 6:30 pm, with rotating Saturdays between 8 am – 12 pm. Travel to other sites may be required based on department needs. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
- One year of work experience required
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.
- On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
