Medical Assistant

Chestnut Health Systems™ is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our integrated healthcare team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care while supporting both medical and behavioral health services. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule—Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays—providing excellent work-life balance. The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $18.00 - $20.50 an hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of MA training program.
- Current CMA or CMOA certification.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record.
- Valid drivers license, private auto insurance, and ability to be insured.
Responsibilities
- Support medical staff in delivering patient care services
- Assist with patient admissions and intake processes
- Schedule appointments, greet patients, and prepare them for visits
- Collect and document medical histories and patient information
- Accurately record data in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Assist providers during medical examinations and procedures
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Collect and process specimens as needed
- Provide health education and guidance to patients and families
- Assist patients with forms, documentation, and care coordination
- Prepare communication and patient education materials
- Operate mobile medical unit as needed
