About The Position

Chestnut Health Systems™ is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our integrated healthcare team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care while supporting both medical and behavioral health services. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule—Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays—providing excellent work-life balance. The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $18.00 - $20.50 an hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of MA training program.
  • Current CMA or CMOA certification.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record.
  • Valid drivers license, private auto insurance, and ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

  • Support medical staff in delivering patient care services
  • Assist with patient admissions and intake processes
  • Schedule appointments, greet patients, and prepare them for visits
  • Collect and document medical histories and patient information
  • Accurately record data in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Assist providers during medical examinations and procedures
  • Obtain and document vital signs
  • Collect and process specimens as needed
  • Provide health education and guidance to patients and families
  • Assist patients with forms, documentation, and care coordination
  • Prepare communication and patient education materials
  • Operate mobile medical unit as needed
