This roll will support the Cardiology clinic and will primarily support two Cardiology providers but will also be crossed trained to support all 21 specialties in the SC Corridor. This position will room patients, complete chart prep, assist with procedures including set up and break down, mixing medications, supply management including restocking the rooms, follow time out and consent procedure, complete time out and consent audits, assist with completing back to brilliance audits, monitor message pools, and complete paperwork. The Cardiology MA also completes administrative duties including referrals, prior authorizations, and scheduling. Find your path in health care. The hospital is staffed by physicians who are full-time faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson and is managed by Banner Health under an operating agreement with Pima County. Our specialty services include inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, treatment and education for diabetes, innovative geriatrics care and comprehensive orthopedics. This position is responsible for assisting clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care, as well as, implementing and evaluating direct patient care. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and skills to provide an excellent patient experience.
