About The Position

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team with our Specialty Care Center! This is a Monday-Friday opportunity with hours between 8:00-4:00. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn how to do the clinical and clerical pieces of patient care to better support the patient’s experience.

Requirements

• Training or experience as a medical assistant
• completion of high school degree or equivalent
• 2 years experience in a medical office setting
• knowledge of medical terminology
• personal computer, data entry, and communication skills
• Acquire American Heart Association BLS in 60 days

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated nursing functions under the supervision of the RN using established procedures, policies, guidelines and standards of care
• Manually cleans and disinfects patient care items and equipment notifies director of missing or malfunctioning equipment
• Answers phones, records messages; greets patients and visitors
• Prepare charts for physician clinics and schedules patient appointments
• Documents and reports observations to the nurse or provider; accurately documents patient care provided on appropriate hospital forms and within the established timeframes
