About The Position

The Medical Assistant will support our wellness providers in delivering exceptional patient care and clinical services. This role is responsible for assisting with patient intake, blood draws, body composition scans, IV therapy support, clinical documentation, and ensuring all required patient paperwork and consent forms are completed accurately. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, patient-centered, and excited about preventative health and wellness.

Requirements

  • Experience performing venipuncture and blood draws required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
  • Experience in wellness, functional medicine, primary care, aesthetics, concierge medicine, or related healthcare settings is preferred
  • EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers with patient visits, wellness consultations, and treatment procedures
  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for laboratory testing
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
  • Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and wellness services
  • Assist with IV therapy preparation, administration support, and patient monitoring
  • Conduct body composition scans and wellness assessments
  • Review patient charts prior to appointments to ensure all required intake documents, medical history questionnaires, and treatment consent forms are complete and properly documented
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
  • Maintain exam rooms and treatment areas according to clinical standards
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming patient experience
  • Educate patients on wellness services and treatment protocols as directed by providers
  • Assist with scheduling, follow-up appointments, and care coordination
  • Respond professionally and promptly to patient questions and concerns
  • Maintain inventory and clinical supplies
  • Assist with clinic opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
  • Support overall clinic efficiency and daily operations
