About The Position

Screens patients and obtains pertinent information. Assists the physician or advanced practitioner during patient visits, adhering to age-specific needs. Supports the physician or advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed. Maintains exam rooms and the work environment. Provides clinic support as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

At least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
Medical office, insurance, referral and prior authorization, hospital or computer experience.
Experience in office clerical activities desirable.
CMA or RMA preferred.
