About The Position

Curana Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers and help ensure excellent patient care. The role supports older adults in senior living communities and skilled nursing facilities, working with facility stakeholders and coordinating care with providers and ancillary services.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience working as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting, preferably in geriatric or senior care.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong organization and communication skills.
Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Outgoing nature and enjoyment of interacting with people.
Passion for helping others and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

Certified Medical Assistant credential.

Responsibilities

Serve as a community liaison among nursing, sales, wellness, and leadership stakeholders.
Attend to facility needs and communicate them to the team.
Coordinate care among specialists, therapy, home health, and other ancillary services.
Assist with front desk duties, including appointment management and scheduling.
Conduct monthly outreach to residents and families to assess needs and coordinate care consistent with the provider’s care plan.
Connect patients with local and regional social support services.
Greet patients, family members, and staff.
Take vital signs, room patients in a clinic, and prepare them for visits.
Coordinate after-visit activities.
Complete diagnostic testing.
Manage and complete quality assurance monitoring.
