About The Position

Humanitary Medical Center is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by ensuring smooth and efficient clinical operations.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong clinical skills and medical knowledge
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with medical software and equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a medical assistant training program
  • Certification or diploma for MA and Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

  • Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse)
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Assist physicians during examinations
  • Administer injections or medications
  • Collect lab specimens (blood, urine, etc.)
  • Perform lab tests
  • Pre-visit must do 48 hours in advance
  • Greet and room patients
  • Explain procedures and answer basic questions
  • Provide instructions for medications or follow-up care
  • Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality
  • Update and maintain patient records (EHR/EMR systems)
  • Handle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries
  • Complete forms and documentation (Pap Smer and PRP)
  • Verify Insurance Information
  • Assist with coding and billing process
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments
  • Stock exam rooms with supplies
  • Coordinate lab tests, referrals, and follow-ups
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
