About The Position

We are seeking a Medical Assistant with experience in a surgery center to join our team. This is a long-term, full-time position with a shift schedule of 8am-4:30pm. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years to 5 years of experience in a surgery center or outpatient surgical setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (through the American Heart Association)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as directed by physicians and nurses.
• Assist with patient intake, including vital signs and medical history.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
• Sterilize and maintain medical equipment.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
