Assist physicians with medical procedures in office. Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance. This role requires thorough documentation in the medical record chart of testing/treatment rendered to patients, preparing encounter forms for billing, and documenting all QC and QA corrective actions. The Medical Assistant will also maintain adequate inventory of supplies, place orders, initiate troubleshooting procedures for instrument malfunctions, and perform EKG testing where applicable. They will ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to patient care, rights, safety, billing, and collections, adhering to all AON and departmental policies and procedures. Maintaining patient information confidentiality is crucial. The role may involve assisting in training new employees and working at any AON location to meet business needs, including potential overtime with sufficient notice.
