About The Position
This role involves performing various office procedures, including billing, bookkeeping, and correspondence. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and performing ECGs, while interacting professionally with patients, families, payors, vendors, and insurance companies.
Requirements
- Requires completion of a Medical Assistant training program or a certification in Medical Assisting
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with patients and families and collaborate with health team members
- CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- One year related experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform office procedures including; billing, bookkeeping and typing/correspondence
- Ability to take vital signs, ECG and perform other clinical assistance tasks
- Interacts with patients and families in a professional manner
- Maintains professionalism while interacting with payors, vendors, insurance, etc.
