About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) position is a full-time role (approximately 40 hours per week) in Riverside. The successful candidate will have solid experience and advanced knowledge in medical assisting, including a High School diploma or GED. Certification for MA is preferred. A Medication Aide Certificate is also required. Experience in a multi-physician family practice and with Electronic Medical/Health Records (EMR) is preferred and considered a plus. Current BCLS and Mandatory Reporter certification are necessary, along with solid computer skills. The role involves assisting the Provider team with patient visits and flow in a fast-paced environment, preparing patients and necessary materials for clinical visits, assisting with phlebotomy and administering immunizations, performing vision and hearing exams, scheduling appointments, and documenting in electronic medical records and practice management systems. This is not an exhaustive list of all functions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Certification preferred for MA
  • Medication Aide Certificate

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-Physician Family Practice experience preferred
