About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) - Primary Care position is a full-time role located in Gurnee, IL. The primary responsibilities include greeting patients, escorting them to exam rooms, documenting vital signs, allergies, medications, and the reason for the visit. The role also involves providing front office support and performing basic vitals such as blood pressure, height, and weight. Phlebotomy and injections may also be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
One year of work experience required

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and escort them to exam room
Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
Provide front office support as needed
Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
Phlebotomy and injections may be required
