About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team at AMG Taylor Crossing in Racine, WI. This full-time position is within the Primary Care - Family Medicine, Pediatrics department. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting physicians and nurses with patient care, examinations, and treatments. The role also involves managing patient history, vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, stocking supplies, and handling essential clerical tasks. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
• Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
