About The Position

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join their Behavioral Health department at Evergreen Clinic. The Medical Assistant provides patient care in the office setting, addressing psychosocial, physical, and general care needs. They also manage patient and family communication and demonstrate initiative and responsibility in line with professional expectations. This role operates under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, physician, and clinic manager, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. The MA will communicate patient clinical status, including diagnostic results and symptoms, to physicians and team members.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
• Float positions require a Valid Driver's License.
• If float, valid Driver's License required. This requires a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Background Check to be completed during the onboarding new hire process and throughout employment.

• 1 year of related experience working in a medical clinic or office.
