Sun Life Health is seeking a Medical Assistant – Outlying who wants to make a real impact in patients’ lives. This role supports providers and ensures smooth patient care across multiple sites. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR certification required (can be obtained during orientation)
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred; eligible for certification pay differential
- 2–5 years’ Medical Assistant experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Support providers and ensure smooth patient care across multiple sites
- Assist with patient prep, exams, immunizations, lab testing, and phlebotomy
- Educate patients on medications, preventative care, and self-management goals
- Maintain accurate documentation, clinic standards, and equipment/supply readiness
- Provide front desk support, including check-in/out, payments, and scheduling
- Act as a professional liaison between patients, providers, and other facilities
