About The Position

CHD is looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to work at our Park Street Primary Care offices. The MA will provide direct Clinical and Administrative support to medical providers to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. This role requires demonstrated experience performing phlebotomy, EKGs, spirometry, and other noninvasive diagnostic and clinical procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols. The MA plays a critical role in patient flow, clinical documentation, and supporting providers during patient visits. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification or registration (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience performing phlebotomy, EKGs, and spirometry.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of experience in an outpatient or primary care setting.
  • Experience in integrated or community health settings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws; properly label, process, and prepare specimens for transport or analysis.
  • Conduct 12-lead EKGs, ensure proper electrode placement, and document results for provider review.
  • Administer and document spirometry testing following established clinical guidelines.
  • Perform additional noninvasive procedures including vital signs, point-of-care testing, pulse oximetry, and screenings.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during exams and minor procedures.
  • Administer injections and immunizations as permitted by scope of practice.
  • Maintain infection control standards and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
  • Accurately document clinical information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Support efficient patient flow through chart preparation and scheduling coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and the care team.
  • Maintain medical equipment and inventory of supplies.
